Which are the magical words that make your resume get noticed or end up in the Hiring Manager's hands?

Did you know that there are certain words that will make recruiters and HR personnel actually prioritize your resume?

Either by electronic scanning equipment, search tools for electronic resumes, or the human eye there are magic words that will ensure that your resume gets noticed or end up in the first search results.

If you would have to sift through hundreds of resumes a week you would also try to search for some shortcuts on how to handle the load of selecting resumes. Some firms even train their HR Personnel to identify and set aside resumes that include certain keywords.

So how do you add the adequate keywords to your resume? By doing some research and applying the following tips you might be able to increase the probability of moving on in the selection process.

  • Repeat the job posting's word terminology.
  • Research Industry specific wording.
  • Research the company's website, mission statement, and marketing materials.
  • Utilize common terms for specific skills and experience.

These are some simple tips in which users might be able to create their resume with adequate research time and effort. However, if you have any questions on how to have a resume with the correct wording including key words that are specific to your career goals, industry, or overall career plans please feel free to send us an email.

You may also post your resume online and if you are interested in a brief critique of your resume, feel free to contact us.

"I have to thank CIMA for their services; the design and format of the resumes are excellent. They presented information, that I thought was non-important, in a way that it added a new value to my resume. The professionalism and commitment from CIMA was remarkable."
